Habotai means “downy soft” in Japanese. The special sand washing process creates a very soft, suede like finish to the silk. Natural silk has the unusual properties of creating a feeling of warmth when cold, and a sensation of coolness when the ambience is warm. Silk yarns are so fine that thread count is not used to define quality. Manufacturers refer to Momme (or MM) as an indicator of quality. Some of the best sand washed sheets are 15 momme.

In addition, this incredible silk product is naturally hypoallergenic and is resistant to moisture due to a number of naturally occurring amino acids.

The Habotai Silk Sheets are oversized with 6 inch hems and are made from seamless fabric, which is produced on special wide looms. Includes upscale details such as ½ inch hems and a minimum of 13 stitches per inch, and a generous 4 inch attached hem with double stitch. Pillowcases feature 8 inch capture closure to keep pillowcase secure.
